Trans Hunted contestant Jaxon Feeley recently opened up about his gender journey, describing the experience as incredibly meaningful to him. Feeley, who bravely discussed his identity on the Channel 4 series, is a vocal advocate for the trans community and is participating in the reality show alongside his sister, Nicola.
Hunted follows six couples playing fugitives over three weeks as they try to evade capture by expert hunters with advanced technology. Those who successfully avoid capture have the chance to win a share of £100,000.
Taking to Instagram, Feeley expressed his hope that his journey as a trans individual will inspire others to pursue their dreams as well. He emphasized the importance of showing audiences that being part of the LGBTQ+ community should not impact how much families love, accept, and protect their members. Feeley’s participation on the show serves as a testament to the fact that individuals can still have fulfilling relationships, achieve their goals, and find happiness regardless of their identities.
For Feeley, being on Hunted allowed him to reconnect with his childhood as Jax, a deeply personal experience that he cherishes above all else. Transitioning while working as a prison officer in 2021, Feeley’s previous job experience also led to his appearance on Channel 4’s Banged Up: Stars Behind Bars last year.
Hunted continues to air on Channel 4 every Sunday at 9pm, offering viewers an inside look at the challenges faced by the contestants as they navigate the intense competition.
Feeley’s story serves as a reminder of the importance of representation and visibility for the trans community. By sharing his journey on a popular television show, Feeley is not only raising awareness but also showing others that it is possible to live authentically and pursue one’s dreams regardless of societal expectations.
