Taiwan’s president congratulates Taiwanese queen Nymphia Wind for winning Drag Race

Nymphia Wind, the season 16 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has made history as the first person of East Asian descent to win the American edition of the popular reality competition show. Her stunning finale performance, featuring a Taiwanese cultural outfit transformed into a pastel bodysuit, captivated audiences and secured her the title of America’s Next Drag Superstar.
Out of drag, Nymphia Wind is known as Leo Tsao, a talented Taiwanese-American drag artist and dressmaker. Following her victory on Drag Race, Taiwan’s president, Tsai Ing-wen, took to social media to congratulate the drag superstar.
