The world of Netflix’s hit show Queer Eye was thrown into disarray last November when it was announced that Bobby Berk, the interior design specialist of the Fab Five, would not be returning for the next season. Rumors began swirling online about potential conflicts among the close-knit cast, leading to speculation about behind-the-scenes drama.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, food and wine expert Antoni Porowski addressed the rumors of infighting among the Fab Five. While he acknowledged that there is occasional tension within the group, he made it clear that they are like a family and always have each other’s backs.
“We’re hanging out, we’re going for dinners… we all hang out together. We’ve been sharing a trailer since day one, so yeah, sometimes we’re not gonna get along, but at the end of the day, we’re a family,” Porowski said, emphasizing the bond they share.
The departure of Bobby Berk from the show raised questions about the reasons behind his exit. It was reported that Berk believed season seven would be the last for the other four stars as well, as they had reached the end of their contracts. However, the other four members signed new contracts, leading to rumors of a rift between Berk and Tan France.
France, however, has denied any claims of wanting Berk replaced and has refuted allegations of a feud between them. Jeremiah Brent has stepped in to take Berk’s place on the show, with Porowski praising him as a “really sweet guy” with an amazing design aesthetic.
As the Fab Five gear up for the next season of Queer Eye, they continue to face scrutiny following a Rolling Stone investigation earlier this year. The report included testimonies from production crew members alleging that Jonathan Van Ness had “rage issues” and created tension among the group by not wanting to share the spotlight.
Van Ness has yet to directly respond to these claims, opting instead to cryptically address the situation through song lyrics on social media. Despite these challenges, the Fab Five remain united and focused on creating meaningful transformations in the lives of those they help on the show.
Queer Eye continues to be a beloved and impactful series on Netflix, showcasing the power of acceptance, love, and personal growth. As fans eagerly await the next season, they can look forward to seeing how the Fab Five navigate through any obstacles thrown their way, both on and off-screen.
