Layton Williams and Heartstopper’s Rhea Norwood to star in Cabaret in London’s West End

Layton Williams and Rhea Norwood have been officially announced as the latest stars set to grace the stage in the iconic musical, Cabaret, in London’s West End. The talented duo will be taking on the roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles at the Kit Kat Klub starting from 3 June. Tickets for this highly anticipated production are now available for purchase through ATG Tickets.
Norwood, known for her role as Imogen in the Netflix series Heartstopper, will be making her professional stage debut as the iconic Sally Bowles. On the other hand, Williams, who recently appeared on Strictly Come Dancing, will be returning to the stage after starring in various productions such as Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Rent, and Hairspray.
The duo is scheduled to star in Cabaret until 21 September and will be joined by Sally Ann Triplett as Fraulein Schneider and Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz. Past actors who have taken on the roles of the Emcee and Sally Bowles include Eddie Redmayne, currently starring in the Broadway production, Jessie Buckley, Aimee Lou Wood, Mason Alexander Park, and Maude Apatow.
Cabaret is a unique theatrical experience performed ‘in the rounds’ for guests, providing a club entry time for pre-show drinks at the Kit Kat Klub, immersing audiences in the late 1920s Weimar-era Germany setting. The show has received critical acclaim, winning seven Olivier Awards in April 2022, including Best Actor and Best Actress for Redmayne and Buckley.
The production features classic numbers such as “Don’t Tell Mama,” “Money,” “Maybe This Time,” and the iconic title track, “Cabaret.” It promises to deliver a captivating and unforgettable performance that will leave audiences spellbound.
