Music manager Louis Walsh, known for mentoring pop twins Jedward on The X Factor back in 2009, has found himself in hot water after making controversial comments about the duo on Celebrity Big Brother. During a recent episode of the show, Walsh referred to Jedward as “vile” while discussing his time working with them on the talent show.
Walsh did not hold back, stating, “They were vile. But they were great. I got five million quid for them, I swear on my mother’s life.” He went on to describe Jedward as a novelty act that was good for the show, but still reiterated his negative opinion of them.
In response to Walsh’s comments, Jedward took to social media to express their displeasure. In a series of tweets, they called out Walsh for his cold-hearted behavior and lack of compassion, especially in light of the passing of their mother in 2019. They accused Walsh of being spiteful and disrespectful, vowing that justice would be served.
Despite Walsh’s remarks, a representative for him declined to comment on the situation when approached by the media. However, Jedward continued to speak out against the music manager, even enlisting the help of reality TV star Gemma Collins to deliver a video message in their defense.
Collins, known for her appearances on The Only Way is Essex, stood up for Jedward in the video, telling Walsh not to “be slagging off my boys.” She praised the twins for their beauty and talent, contradicting Walsh’s negative portrayal of them. The video, posted on Collins’ Instagram Stories, garnered attention from fans and followers who supported Jedward in the feud.
In a separate Instagram post, Collins expressed her shock at Walsh’s comments and defended Jedward as “the sweetest talented polite educated kind boys” she has ever met. She emphasized their positive qualities and questioned Walsh’s motives for speaking ill of them.
As the drama continues to unfold on Celebrity Big Brother, it remains to be seen how Walsh and Jedward will resolve their differences. The ongoing feud has sparked debate among fans of the show, with many taking sides in support of either the music manager or the pop twins.
For now, viewers can tune in to Celebrity Big Brother on ITV1 and ITVX to watch the drama unfold between Walsh and Jedward. With tensions running high, it’s clear that this feud is far from over and will likely continue to make headlines in the coming days.
