Lady Gaga’s First Audio as Harley Quinn in Joker Sequel Revealed
Lady Gaga has fans buzzing with excitement as the first audio snippet of her portrayal of Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker sequel, Folie à Deux, has been released. The pop icon is set to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in what promises to be a thrilling continuation of the 2019 hit film.
The character of Harley Quinn, famously portrayed by Margot Robbie in various DC Universe films, is known for her deranged and unpredictable nature. Gaga’s take on the former psychiatrist is already causing a stir, with a sneak peek posted on the movie’s official TikTok account showcasing her unique interpretation of the iconic character.
In the brief clip, Gaga’s Harley Quinn can be heard saying, “You can do anything you want. You’re Joker,” setting the stage for what is sure to be a wild ride in the sequel. The TikTok video features a slideshow of images from the film, building anticipation for the release of the first full-length trailer on April 9th.
The reveal of the official poster for Folie à Deux, featuring both Phoenix and Lady Gaga as Joker and Harley, respectively, further heightened excitement for the upcoming film. The poster shows the pair in a deep embrace, hinting at a dynamic and possibly romantic relationship between the two characters.
Adding to the anticipation is the news that Folie à Deux will feature at least 15 cover songs, with the possibility of original tracks being added to the mix. Director Todd Phillips has confirmed that while fans will have to wait until October for the film’s release, it will be well worth it to see Lady Gaga’s performance as Harley Quinn.
With the release of the first audio snippet and the promise of a jukebox musical experience, Joker: Folie à Deux is shaping up to be a must-see film for fans of the DC Universe and Lady Gaga alike. Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to the highly anticipated release later this year.
