Every Eurovision 2024 entry confirmed so far – from Olly Alexander to a Drag Race judge

The 2024 Eurovision Song Contest is just around the corner and anticipation is building among the legions of queer fans who religiously follow the camp and glitzy music competition. With Loreen’s victory in Liverpool last year, Eurovision is set to take place in Malmö, Sweden this year. Tickets are selling like hot cakes and fans are eagerly awaiting the national qualifying contests to learn more about the songs and artists competing for the coveted crown.
One of the most exciting entries this year comes from the UK, as Olly Alexander, of Years & Years and “It’s a Sin” fame, will be representing the country. During the Strictly Come Dancing final in December, Alexander confirmed his participation and promised a “spectacular” performance. He hinted that his song choice will have a dancey, electronic beat, making it perfect for Eurovision.
Ireland is making history this year by sending their first non-binary artist to Eurovision. Bambie Thug, a self-described “ouija pop” singer from Cork, will be representing the country with their song “Doomsday Blue” from their EP, Cathexis. In an interview with PinkNews, Bambie shared how realizing their non-binary identity has influenced their music, allowing them to be more free and authentic.
Austria is sending pop star and professional dancer Kaleen to compete in Eurovision. Her techno-inspired pop track, “Games,” is set to wow the audience and she is excited to showcase her talent on the Eurovision stage. Kaleen expressed her gratitude for the opportunity and considers it a privilege to take the audience on a journey with her performance.
Albania’s entry this year comes from Besa, who won the hearts of the voting population with her song “Zemrën N’dorë” at the National Final Performance. Although her song choice for Eurovision 2024 has not been confirmed yet, Besa’s glitzy all-gold outfit and captivating stage presence are sure to make an impression.
Belgium will be represented by Mustii, a familiar figure in Belgian pop culture who is also a judge on Drag Race Belgique. Mustii has already released two studio albums and is known for his work in theatre and television productions. His participation in Eurovision is highly anticipated by fans.
Cyprus is sending Silia Kapsis, a singer of Cypriot and Greek descent who has appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and various Nickelodeon programs. She released her debut single, “Who Am I?” at the age of 12 and has since followed it up with other catchy tracks like “No Boys Allowed” and “Disco Dancer.”
Georgia’s entry comes from Nutsa Buzaladze, who finished in the top 12 in American Idol in 2023. She performed “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” with Aussie pop queen Kylie, showcasing her impressive vocal skills. Eurovision will be another opportunity for Buzaladze to shine on the international stage.
Representing Czechia is Aiko, a Brighton-based artist who explores love, solitude, and self-understanding through her music. She has already made history as the first Czech artist to grace the advertising placards of Times Square in New York. Aiko’s unique sound and lyrical depth are sure to captivate the Eurovision audience.
France’s entry this year comes from Slimane, who started performing in the piano bars of Paris’ Pigalle district before winning The Voice France in 2016. Since then, he has sold millions of albums and received numerous music awards. His song “Mon Amour” is expected to showcase his powerful vocals and emotional storytelling.
Marina Satti will represent Greece in Eurovision 2024, 50 years after the country first participated in the competition. Her song-writing style combines Greek, Arabic, and Balkan musical traditions, reflecting her multicultural background. Having released her first full-length album, Yenna, in 2022, Satti is ready to share her unique sound with the Eurovision audience.
Joost Klein from the Netherlands is known for combining mainstream pop with hardcore and punk sounds. His track “Friesenjung” reached number one in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, and garnered over 100 million streams worldwide. Klein’s energetic performance is sure to get the audience on their feet.
Slovenia’s entry this year comes from Raiven, a mezzo-soprano singer who combines pop and opera to create a unique sound. She has previously represented Slovenia three times at Eurovision, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Raiven’s song “Veronika” is expected to showcase her powerful vocals and theatrical flair.
