Dr Ranj Singh, known for his work on the popular UK television show This Morning, is set to make his musical theatre debut in the upcoming UK tour of & Juliet. The star will be taking on the role of Lance in the show, which is scheduled to tour the UK for the first time from 2024 to 2025.
Expressing his excitement for this new venture, Dr Ranj shared, “I am absolutely overjoyed to be making my musical theatre debut in & Juliet, a show I’ve been a fan of since it first opened. I know it’s a bit of a change from my usual work, but not many people will know how hard I’ve been working behind the scenes to make this happen, and it’s an absolute dream come true.”
Tickets for the tour are now available for purchase at ATG Tickets and andjulietthemusical.co.uk. Dr Ranj will be joining a talented cast including Matt Cardle as Shakespeare, Gerardine Sacdalan as Juliet, Lara Denning as Anne, Sandra Marvin as Angelique, Jack Danson as Romeo, Kyle Cox as Francois, and Jordan Broatch as May.
The national UK tour will kick off at Manchester’s Opera House on 8 July 2024, with additional dates planned for Blackpool, Glasgow, Oxford, Liverpool, Edinburgh, and Leeds. The tour will continue into 2025, with performances scheduled for Bristol, Aberdeen, Nottingham, Birmingham, Sheffield, and concluding in Cardiff on 28 June.
Created by Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read, & Juliet puts a modern twist on the classic Shakespearean tale by exploring what would happen if Juliet chose a different path instead of her tragic ending with Romeo. The musical features iconic pop anthems from the past three decades by renowned songwriter Max Martin, including hits like “…Baby One More Time,” “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” “Love Me Like You Do,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”
