The Curse of the Number Two Strikes Again at Eurovision 2024
The Eurovision Song Contest is known for its superstitions and quirks, and one of the most famous superstitions associated with the competition is the “Curse of the Number Two.” This curse revolves around the running order of the Grand Final, specifically the country that performs second in the lineup.
According to The Mirror, no country that has performed second in the final running order has ever won Eurovision. In fact, nine acts that performed in the second slot ended up in last place, with three of them receiving “Nul points.” The curse has become a topic of fascination among fans and participants alike.
As the running order for the Eurovision 2024 Grand Final was decided following the semi-final, it was revealed that Ukraine would be the unfortunate country in the dreaded number two slot. However, could Ukraine be the country to finally break the Curse of the Number Two?
