Ariana Grande has been keeping her fans on their toes this week as she celebrates the 10-year anniversary of her debut album, Yours Truly. In a TikTok Q&A session on Monday, the pop star addressed fans who have been eagerly awaiting new music and expressed their impatience with her focus on promoting her r.e.m. beauty brand.
Since founding r.e.m. beauty in 2021, Ariana has dedicated much of her time and energy to her makeup collection and other ventures, such as her involvement in the upcoming Wicked movie. This has left fans longing for new music for the past two years. However, during the Q&A session, Ariana playfully responded to a question about whether she planned on releasing any makeup products inspired by Yours Truly, saying, “Why would I not?”
She reassured her fans that there is more to come, describing the upcoming makeup line as “very Yours Truly inspired and pink and girly and sweet.” The singer acknowledged that some fans have been frustrated with her focus on makeup and humorously addressed their concerns. Fans were quick to express their love and support for Ariana, with one Twitter user commenting, “‘I know you’re very annoyed with my makeup’ THIS HAS ME DYING HELP UR SO CUTE ARI.”
It’s clear that Ariana pays attention to her fans and values their opinions. Another fan tweeted, “I love how she acknowledges what her fans say on the internet. Just goes to show that she really does pay attention and listen to us.”
While fans may be eagerly awaiting new music, it seems they will have to wait a little longer as Ariana continues to explore her passion for beauty. She has promised that there is plenty of makeup to come before she shifts her focus back to music.
In addition to discussing her makeup brand, Ariana also shared some insider details about her debut album during the Q&A session. She revealed that the album almost had a different title, considering both “Honeymoon Avenue” and “Daydreamin’.” However, she ultimately decided on “Yours Truly” because she wanted it to be like a love letter and an introduction to the world. She explained that signing a love letter with “yours truly” felt fitting, as if she was saying, “Here I am.”
Ariana also opened up about one of the fan-favorite songs from the album, “Tattooed Heart.” She revealed that she wrote the song entirely by herself in her bedroom when she was just 17 years old. She expressed her love for the song and its importance to her, saying, “So I am very proud of it.”
While fans may be anxiously awaiting new music from Ariana Grande, it’s clear that she is currently focused on her beauty brand and other ventures. However, she reassured fans that there is more to come and teased an upcoming makeup line inspired by her debut album. Ariana’s playful and attentive approach to her fans’ feedback demonstrates her dedication to connecting with them and creating products that resonate with her audience.
As we continue to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Yours Truly, Ariana Grande’s fans can look forward to a future filled with more makeup and, eventually, new music. The pop star’s creative endeavors continue to evolve, and her fans eagerly await what she has in store next.
