Former employee Trevor Phillips has filed a lawsuit against Ye, who was formerly known as Kanye West, making disturbing claims about the singer’s actions. These include making homophobic and antisemitic statements, displaying abusive behavior towards staff and children at his academy, and showing discrimination towards Black employees.
According to Phillips, Ye made derogatory remarks about gay people, suggesting they were being controlled by Bill Gates for population control purposes. He also stated his intention to target the gay community after Jews, revealing concerning views towards marginalized groups.
The lawsuit further details Ye’s antisemitic beliefs and actions, referencing Hitler as an “innovator” and accusing Jews of stealing his money. He faced backlash and severed ties with major brands like Adidas and the Gap after a controversial Yeezy show featuring a model wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt.
Phillips, who is Black, claims that Ye treated Black employees unfairly compared to their white counterparts, showing a clear pattern of racial discrimination. He describes a hostile work environment based on race, with Ye berating Black staff while treating white employees with more respect.
This toxic behavior even extended to Ye’s interactions with children at his Donda Academy, where he allegedly made threats of shaving students’ heads and locking them in cages. Phillips details a concerning environment at the school, with Ye spouting antisemitic rhetoric and making discriminatory comments about dating and body image.
When Phillips confronted Ye about his bigotry, he allegedly faced harassment and attempts to mentally control and destroy him. The lawsuit came to a head when Phillips was fired in a humiliating manner in front of parents, children, and staff at the academy.
The disturbing allegations in the lawsuit reveal a concerning side of Ye’s behavior, highlighting discrimination, abuse, and harmful rhetoric towards marginalized communities. This has sparked discussions about accountability and responsibility in the entertainment industry.
